Skiområde Grimentz - Zinal

New 10-seater gondola lift to Espace Weisshorn
Built in 1966, the Zinal-Sorebois cable car could no longer keep up with the growing number of customers at the valley station. This new 10-passenger gondola lift will increase the transport capacity to 1800/hour compared to the current 700. The lift is modern and comfortable and is part of the D-Line range. In particular, the cabins will be equipped with individual seats. The travel time to the top station is 10 min, and the middle station Sorebois can be reached in 6.5 min. The installation will be operational for winter 20/21 (opening is scheduled for 20 December) and will also allow the Grimentz and Zinal stations to be linked by the new gondola and connecting cable car for pedestrians.

Bar à Pente - new restaurant
An extension has been created at Bar à Pente so that customers can enjoy a gourmet moment with a view of the Imperial Crown. This new restaurant can seat no less than 90 people at table, inside, on the terrace and the Bar à Pente. This restaurant is temporary and will be replaced by a new restaurant in the Espace Weisshorn in 2021.

The Box
The Box is located at the arrival of the old Les Crêts chairlift and welcomes you at 2300 m to enjoy a sunny break on its terrace. The team offers you a pasta bar and a menu with mineral water, beers and a selection of wines.
Open at weekends and in high season, weather permitting, from 10:00 to 16:00.

The Grimentz-Zinal cableways offer you free access to discover how the machines of Switzerland's third longest cableway work. Explanatory panels, photos and diagrams have been installed so that the whole family can discover the construction and operation of the cable car linking Grimentz and Zinal in the event of a breakdown.

The snow-sure ski resort Grimentz-Zinal includes 21 lifts at an altitude of 1,670 m to 2,895 m and over 115 kilometers of slopes in front of a stunning high mountain scenery.

The freeride area at the "Gardes de Bordon" with its own "Avalanche Training Center" - the first of its kind in Switzerland - Zinal makes a popular destination for off-piste friends.

For nordic cross-country skiers there are 19 km of trails.
