Just seven to ten minutes by cable car separate you from everyday life down in the valley. From Mörel, Betten valley station or Fiesch, you ascend into a car-free winter wonderland at 1,925 to 2,222 metres above sea level. Once you arrive, it’s time to breathe deeply, switch off and let go. Stress and daily routines stay down in the valley. The winter is yours.

Winter the way it should be
Sunshine, snow and spectacular views: high above the Rhône Valley, winter shows its very best side. From December to the end of April, enjoy reliable snow conditions and 104 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes connecting Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp.

From your first turns on gentle beginner slopes to varied pistes, snowparks and challenging freeride routes: everyone can find their perfect line here.

And the best part? No lugging your gear around, no waiting, no ski buses. Put on your skis, step outside and go. In the Aletsch Arena, the hotel entrance can be your gateway to the slopes.

More than skiing
Prefer to take things a little slower? There are just as many reasons to fall in love with winter here. 75 kilometres of groomed winter hiking trails lead through snow-covered landscapes and to spectacular viewpoints. On the three-kilometre snowshoe trail between Bettmeralp and Riederalp, the winter landscape becomes an experience in itself – one step at a time, with nowhere to hurry.

Cross-country skiers can glide around Lake Bettmersee or follow the trail on the Riederalp golf course. At the Bettmeralp natural ice rink, you can enjoy a few graceful laps on the ice. And if you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, take on the 11-kilometre toboggan run from Fiescheralp down to Lax.
