In addition to the small town of St. Andrä, the municipality also includes the districts of Haslach, Lasa, Lintsching and part of Wölting. St. Andrä is located in the middle of the beautiful Taurach Valley, at 1,044 metres above sea level, and is a mecca for cyclists. For those who don't like to get around on two wheels, St. Andrä offers numerous opportunities for easy hikes that are also accessible with prams. St. Andrä also has numerous sights and cultural institutions that can be reached by easy walks – ideal for families with children. The Passeggen execution site with its medieval witch burning site, the Turnschall ruins and the church of St. Andrä are particularly worth seeing.

Of course, there are also many other activities to enjoy, such as cycling, mountain biking, tennis, rafting, swimming, beach volleyball, etc. From St. Andrä, you can travel throughout the Lungau region by bus (Lungau-Takt) in both summer and winter and get to know the area.

Painting academy
Local residents and guests, young and old alike, can take part in interesting painting workshops with our renowned artist Prof. Reinhardt Sampl. He provides insights into the "art of painting". From time to time, you can also watch the artist at work.

The Taurachbahn railway
A trip on the Taurachbahn railway, which runs regularly between St. Andrä and Mauterndorf in summer, is a special experience.
