Wonderfully sunny and quiet, away from the main traffic routes, Rodeneck lies idyllically embedded in meadows and fields, guarded by the proud Rodenegg Castle above the Rienz Gorge. The view sweeps into the Eisacktal, Wipptal and Pustertal valleys, at the fork of which Rodeneck lies at 800-1200 m above sea level. Protected by the surrounding mountains and facing southwest, Rodeneck captivates its guests with its mild, dry climate and plenty of sunshine.
There are no limits to the joys of hiking here: gentle paths through meadows, fields and forests, extended excursions to the Rodeneck-Lüsner Alm and mountain hikes to the surrounding peaks fill the days with enthusiasm.
