Welcome to Pozza di Fassa!
Between the mountain huts of Val San Nicolò and the Dolomia thermal baths, a holiday full of relaxation in Pozza di Fassa
The village of Pozza di Fassa, with its hamlet of Pera, lies at the widest point of the valley, at the confluence of the Avisio and Rio San Nicolò, and is surrounded by the peaks of ‘Cima Undici’ and ‘Cima Dodici’ (‘Elferspitze’ and ‘Zwölferspitze’). Walks, hikes, climbing tours, geology, the Monzoni group, the Gardeccia, the towers of Vajolet: they all guarantee a holiday close to nature. Pozza, with its thermal waters, ideal for skin cures, is an oasis of well-being and tranquillity; they gush from the sulphurous Alloch spring, the only one with these properties in Trentino, at an altitude of 1320 metres. The Catinaccio and the Dirupi del Larsec offer a wealth of hiking and trekking trails; the Val San Nicolò, dotted with the characteristic mountain huts (‘baita’), is known to all lovers of sport climbing, and the Monzoni Group offers moments of peace and tranquillity.
The hamlet of Pera di Fassa, 1 km from Pozza, is the birthplace of the famous alpinist Tita Piaz, ‘the devil of the Dolomites’.
