Naturbadesee Schattensee

Schattensee is a truly unique natural gem. It captivates visitors with its untouched, peaceful, and above all romantic surroundings. A walk around the lake offers a chance to enjoy the Krakow mountain landscape.

A very special highlight is water target shooting at Schattensee. The bullet, as it bounces off the water’s surface, must hit the cardboard target suspended above the water. The distance is 107 meters, and the center of the target is located 50 cm above the water’s surface. This unique experience is available for groups of 25 or more from June through October, subject to prior telephone reservation. Upon request, individuals may also participate in the shooting.

A boat ride across the warm Schattensee is a popular and romantic leisure activity. Not only can you enjoy the scenery, but on nice days you can also take a dip in the pleasant water. The Schattensee is widely known and loved for its warm and, above all, healthy moor water.

The Tree Calendar at Schattensee is just as interesting in summer as it is in winter! As you walk around the moorland lake, you’ll find a lovingly designed tree calendar that brings bygone eras to life. Of course, you are invited to seek out your very own tree of life and linger by it. Step by step, you’ll explore the meaning of your own personal life. Alongside the botanical description, you’ll find the significance of each tree for the person born under its sign.
