Skiområde Cerkno

The Ski resort Cerkno is situated at the margin of the region Gorenjska, where already the region Primorje begins.

It is the most modern and at the same time the most user-friendly ski resort in Slovenia. The skiing area is open to skiers of all ages and categories, in case of lack of snow there are snow-making machines and also tracks for cross-country skiers exist.

Special attention is given to the youngest skiers, so there are many activities available to them. At the top of the ski centre there is an alpine style self-service restaurant with a visitor's terrace, which offers diverse dishes based on local ingredients.

Excellent ski slopes, the most modern and safest skiing facilities, qualitative offer of additional services, at the head with the alpine restaurant Alpska perla at the top of the Skiing centre are the main reasons for beeing the best Slovenian Ski resort in the seasons 2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13, 2016/2017, 2017/2018 as voted for by visitors and listeners of Radio Slovenia and at the same time we again received the Award for family-friendly ski resorts.

The ski centre Cerkno devotes great attention to families with children. In close vicinity to the top of the ski centre there is a polygon with a carpet lift and a roundabout.

The Kids can be at the warm kindergarten either alone, in the company of their parents or our nannies and play, draw, watch TV – do a lot of interesting things, which will make your ski holidays an unforgettable experience.

The Ski centre Cerkno with its ski school is valued as a synonym for learning skiing both at local and wider level. Our ski instructors will teach you skiing or snowboarding with professionalism and even more patience.

There is a moving carpet lift in our ski school available, which helps especially beginners to overcome their fear. Several times per season we also organize Ski- and Snowboard courses in groups for children and adults.
