*Welcome to Wehr!
Wehr, a state-recognised health resort, is always worth a visit - and not just because it is the home town of violin virtuoso Anne-Sophie Mutter. The River Wehra rushes down from the Black Forest mountains through wild and romantic rocky gorges: the Wehratal valley alone is an experience that no-one should miss out on.
With its many castles and palaces, Wehr is also the most densely wooded town on the High Rhine. With over 120 kilometres of well-signposted hiking trails in unspoilt countryside and unspoilt nature, it officially bears the title "The gateway to the Southern Black Forest Nature Park".
Hiking enthusiasts in particular, but also families with children, are invited to visit the well-known trails, the "Wehratal adventure trail", the "Sagenpfad ums Schlössle" but also the "Erdmannsweg" over the Dinkelberg. A special highlight is the Brennet textile museum and factory outlet.
