Passing by Misanenga, Platenga you reach Surcuolm. Beneath the village you turn right onto a gravel road and ride towards Flond. Instead of riding through Flond you turn right to Tschuppina towards the Luvenen street. Now the actual ascent on the winding asphaltic street towards Ruschneras starts. Arriving at the highest point 1680 m. a. s. l. you can enjoy the magnificent view onto the Anterior Rhine (Vorderrhein) Valley as far as Chur. The last 5 kilometres are recreative and mostly downhill.

Take the A13 to Reichenau, then follow the main road via Flims and Ilanz. Continue on the Ilanz bypass towards Obersaxen Mundaun.
From the Grisons cantonal capital of Chur, the Rhaetian Railway takes just 36 minutes through the spectacular Rhine Gorge to Ilanz station. Then take the Postbus line 90.451 Ilanz - Obersaxen to the Obersaxen, Chummenbüel stop
Parking is available at the large Chummenbüel parking lot.
