*Welcome to Wartberg ob der Aist!
Wartberg was first mentioned in a document in 1111 and is with its 3 gothic churches: Parish Church, St. Michael's Chapel and Wenceslas Church as a closed church settlement a rarity in the Lower Mühlviertel.

In recognition of its special economic, cultural and historical importance, the Upper Austrian provincial government elevated the municipality of Wartberg ob der Aist to the status of a market in 1983.
From the Wenzelskirche you can see a particularly charming panorama over the hilly countryside from the Pöstlingberg to the Sternstein. On sunny days, the view from Calvary even reaches as far as the Alps.

The landscape conservation area "Unteres Feldaisttal " can be hiked through on a circular trail. This leads past three mill sites. The walk through the so-called Flehlucka, one of the best preserved earthen stables in Upper Austria, is a special experience and is located in the village of Reitling.

Sports facilities, such as the newly built Pumptrack and the Street Workout area invite young and old to spend their free time actively in Wartberg ob der Aist.
