Wild Animal Park / Preserve in Aurach

4 km south of Kitzbühel, in the direction of Jochberg-Felbertauern. Turn off the B161 at Aurach, direction Oberaurach and then follow the signposted road to the "Wildpark" (1.080 m/3.500 ft).

This is the habitat of some 200 animals at 1.100 m/3.600 ft above sea level, in the largest open-air enclosure (app. 40 ha) in the Tyrol. The tour takes you past deer, lynx, wild boar, yaks, zebus, marmots, wild ducks, pheasants, peacocks, ibex etc., in enclosures or running free. Cosy Café-Restaurant.

Game feeding daily at 2.30 p.m. (except during the rutting season from mid-Sept. to mid-Nov.)
