Hocheggerhof

Our farm for children is located on 950m altitude in the centre of the skiing area Schladming – Dachstein and Ski Amadé.
Situated between the mountains Planai and Hochwurzen, two skiing resorts, your fun in the snow is guaranteed.
A ski school for your children is nearby, just 2km away.
In the morning you can go to the slopes by bus or by car. The bus station is right in front of our house. Busses leave at 9.10 and 9.45 and return at 4.15 p.m.
Back home you can take a ski route that comes down from the Hochwurzen right to our house.

The distance of 2km to the centre in Rohrmoos to the lift Rohrmoos II or to the middle station of the Golden Jet on the Planai, guarantees a calm area and a beautiful untouched landscape.
Far away from the noise, but in the middle of the ski area.

If you don’t want to ski all the time, there is lots of other things to do.
Cross-country skiing: Right in front of our house there is a slope, which is over 60km long.

Sleigh ride: From Rohmoos into the valley Obertal or Untertal, there are many farmers who offer a ride with a sleigh. We are pleased to inform you about terms and conditions.

Tobogganging: From the Hochwurzen there is a tobogganing run over 7km. You can rent a sledge at the station.

Swimming pool Schladming:In Schladming there is an indoor swimming pool, with a slide a baby corner and a sauna.

Winter walking paths: (directly from the house)

Into the Obertal:
The walking path leads you beside the Obertalriver until you arrive in Hopfriesen or Eschach. The path is also used by the sleigh.
On your way back home, don´t miss the Windbacherstub´n for a drink or for dinner.

Into the Untertal:
In Untertal there is a wonderful path, that starts from the Tetterhof. First you have to follow the road, but after some while you can turn right and follow the Untertalriver.
Some nice inns along the road are the Waldhäuselalm, the Sondlalm and the Tetterhof.

To Rohrmoos:
Along a nice track, you can reach the centre in Rohrmoos. You find yourself in the middle of the skiing area, with ski huts, après ski bars and lots more.

To Schladming through the Talbach:
From our house you can walk along the road until you reach Untertal. There you get to the river Talbach. Follow the river, it leads you through the Talbach gorge to Schladming.
In winter it offers a marvellous view on icy riverbeds and cliffs.
You can either walk the path back up or take a bus.

From Rohrmoos up to the Hochwurzen:
From the Winterer (Fun-Jet) there is a nice winter walk up to the Hochwurzen. It takes you about 2 hours and the track leads you along the Westside of the mountain up to the top. Far away from any noise, you can hike up a ski mountain.
Back down you can walk, toboggan or use the chairlift.
